The Swedes in Estonia cutted their lambs at Eastern, at Midsummer, in August as well as in November. The sheep was taken home in August around the Bartolomeus day, 24.8. They were then washed in the sea or in rivers. (Granberg, Elmar). The wool cut in August was of better quality than the wool cut in November.
